New cars come around all the time, every year in fact. The end of 2011 and start of 2012 brings a whole new range of highly desirable cars to the market. The following 5 cars epitomise design and performance and are some of the most anticipated releases of the upcoming years.
Audi Q3 – This is the new high up Audi to join the Q range, along with the Q5 and Q7. It is based on a similar chassis to the A3, and isn’t much bigger but offers a premium small 4×4. The actual 4wd is optional depending on what spec you choose, so this is far more of a lifestyle 4×4 than something you would take out into the wilderness. Prices expect to start around £25,000 and it goes on sale towards the end of the year. It looks handsome and will be a sure fire winner for Audi, who are on form at the moment with their new releases such as the A1.
Ford Focus ST – The Ford Focus was an instant success from its release in 2000. It took over the crown from the Escort, which was Fords saloon option at the time. The Focus has had a couple of restyles and the new one has just gone on sale in the last month. The ST model is the sporty one, which is expected to have around 250bhp, taking on the Renault Sport Megane directly. It has more aggressive styling than an ST we have seen so far, and the interior is modern and smart. Ford could be onto a winner.
BMW M5 – This powerful M5 is being highly anticipated for 2012. BMW previously went through a streak of unpopular design, but the new 5 series is being well received, so the M5 is going to be highly desirable. It is likely to produce over 500bhp from a V10 engine, making it a powerhouse long distance cruiser, and the ultimate business-mobile. Prices will start from an estimated £75,000 and there is already a waiting list for this new model.
Range Rover Evoque – This new baby Range Rover has been seeing a lot of press come its way recently. It is not a van, and it is not a car, it is a thing of beauty and if you like it, then consider car leasing. The prices start from a modest £28,000, but you might need to spend more for a desirable model. The styling is unique and attractive and the Evoque opens up a new market.
Porsche 911 – We have seen the 911 in many forms over its long life and the new 2011/2012 model is sleeker than ever. It rights lower and the lines flow nicely making this the perfect car for anyone looking for a sporty coupe. As usual the engine is in the rear meaning you can only store your belongings under the bonnet, but you do get 4 seats in an attractive body.
Steve is a motoring enthusiast and would love a sports car. He currently drives a van that he leased from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
