Proving that senior artist can still influenced the younger ones, Sir Tom Jones gave a brilliant closing performance last night after the crowning of Scott McCreery as the American Idol. The 71 year old singer also became the part of what seems to be the resurrection of the American culture that is shown in the finale of Fox’s top rated reality competition show, considering the fact that the young McCreery is well known for bringing back the country music genre.
His performance on the stage was a surprising feature that blows so many minds away, especially those who also share the same decade of time watching the singer back in 1960’s. He could easily win the contest himself if he were at least half a century younger. For that reason only, many of you would considered him standing in the same ground as the Rolling Stone front man, Mick Jagger. If you remember, Jagger brought the house down on 2011 Grammy Awards with his performance of “Everybody Need Somebodyâ€.

The sophistication of social media also helped bringing the popularity back to Sir Tom Jones. It also helped proving that what the critics and media called as an “old act†is hugely wrong. You can see it from the way Google trends listed any articles about him as a volcanic hot topic or see how many tweeter user shared information about them.
